Windows 11 have different procedure to hide files and folders; you can hide files and folders from Windows Search. That prevents unwanted items from showing up in local search results. It’s actually quite simple with the help of the built-in File Explorer settings.

To Hide Files and Folders on Windows 11:

1. Launch/open File Explorer from the taskbar icon.

2. Navigate to the file or folder which you want to hide, then right-click on it, and choose the Properties option from the menu.

3. The folder properties will show, under the General tab, check the Hidden box and click OK

4. One confirmation message window will appears, select the Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files option to hide the folder and its content.

5. Click OK to confirm it.
