How to Apply Driving Licence?

What is  Driving Licence?

A driving Licence is a legal essential document in India for vehicle drivers. Without this document, nobody can drive car/bike on road that may be liable to fines and other compensate.

For driving Licence need to apply online through state Regional Transport Portal.

 

Step 1:

Open State Transport Portal https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/sarathiservice/stateSelection.do.

and select your State.

 

Step 2:

click on Apply online and select New Learners Licence.

Step 3:

Now Select RTO office according to your address jurisdiction.

Step 5:

One page will show what to do for apply a Learner Licence. Nothing to do here just click on continue.

Step 5:

Another window will come, if you don’t have a Driving Licence  just click submit. If you have Driving Licence, Enter Licence number and Date of Birth.

Example1:If the LL No: RJ14 /0001234/2017 enter LL number as RJ14<Space>/0001234/2017

Example2:If the DL No: MH01 20170001234 enter DL number as MH01<Space>20170001234

 

Step 6:

Select state and RTO office again and fill up your details as required.

Now select class of vehicles. You can select multiple class of vehicles by holding press Ctrl key.  After fill up all details click on submit button.

 

 Step 7:

After submit one page will prompt to remainder if you have any Driving Licence, you Application will reject.   “Your application is being accepted. However if it is found that at later stage, you are having a licence, your application may be rejected by the concerned Authority.   Just click on OK button.

Again one window prompt to ensure submission of application. Just click on OK

Step 8:

After submission of application, Acknowledge page will come. Here write down you application for future reference.  Also one SMS will come to your given mobile number.  Now save or print 4 copy of from i.e. Application Form (pre Filled),  Form1, form1-A and Acknowledge. You can take print later by enter application number and Date of Birth.

Now click on Next button.

Step 9:

Now Upload your all document i.e. Age Proof, Photo Id Proof, Address Proof (Present), Form1( Self Declaration), Form1-A( Medical Certificate). After upload all document it will show All Documents uploaded successfully. Now click on Next button.

 Step 10:

 Now Payment Rs. 240/- by online like Debit card, Net Banking UPI etc. After successful payment it remains LL slot booking. There are so may RTO office and every RTO office LL slot booking time different.

Example: Diamond Harbour RTO LL booking time is 8:00 AM and Barasat RTO office LL slot Booking time is 7:00 AM.

Now question is that which RTO office booking start which time??  Now know start booking tine of RTO office have to login on https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/   at after 12:00 AM

 Step 11:

Now time to slot booking. Again open sarathi.parivahan.gov.in à Appointments(Slot Booking) à Learners Licence Test.

 Enter Application Number, Date of Birth and verification in the given form and click on Submit.

Step 12:

For security purpose on verification code(OTP) will send to your register Mobile and Email Id. Enter Security code and click on Submit

Step 13:

One window will come for confirmation about details application i.e. Name, Father name, class of vehicles etc. Here nothing to do just clock on Proceed to Book.

Step 14:

One page will come for booking the Date of Test Slot. Wait for exact time of your RTO office booking start (may be 7:00AM or 8:00AM). When booking time start click on available date ( green color) à click on Available Seats à BOOK SLOT.
