How to lock/Unlock Aadhaar number through SMS

How you can lock/unlock Aadhaar number through SMS :-

Locking Aadhaar number via SMS :-

1 Send Text Message

   From your register mobile number send an SMS to 1947 to get an OTP.

  GETOTP<SPACE>LAST 4 DIGITS Of AADHAAR Number. 

 If your Aadhaar Number is XXXX XXXX 1234, then SMS LOOK like as GETOTP 1234.

2.You will get 6 digit OTP in Register Mobile Number

3. To lock Aadhaar Authentication

Send SMS  LOCKUID<SPACE>Last 4 digit of your aadhaar number<space>6 digit OTP  to 1947.

Example LOCKUID 1234 987654

4. You will get confirmation message from UIDAI

 If your mobile number is registered with more than one Aadhaar number then you have to send last 8(Eight) digits of your Aadhaar number.

Unlocking your Aadhaar number :-

1. You Need AadhaarVirtual Id (VID)        Click here to know How to create VID

2. Send Text Message

   From your register mobile number send an SMS to 1947 to get an OTP.

GETOTP<SPACE>LAST 6 DIGITS OF VID. 

If your VID is XXXX XXXX XX55 1234, then SMS look like as GETOTP 551234.

3. You will get 6 digit OTP in Register Mobile Number

4. To Unlock Aadhaar Authentication

Send SMS as UNLOCKUID<SPACE>Last 6 digit of VID<space>6 digit OTP to 1947.

Example UNLOCKUID 551234 987654

5. You will get confirmation message from UIDAI

 If your mobile number is registered with more than one Aadhaar number then you have to send last 10(Ten) digits of your VID.
